Today, we’re announcing the Persona Project: a long-term initiative focused on building private, memory-augmented personal AI systems that feel less like tools — and more like trusted companions.

The goal of the Persona Project is simple: To create AI agents that don’t just process information, but speak, remember, and act in ways shaped by the people they serve.

Over the next few years, we expect dramatic advances in three key areas:

• Memory persistence: AI that remembers conversations, preferences, and goals — across days, months, and years.

• Personality shaping: AI that can adapt its tone, style, and approach to match each user’s desired interaction model.

• Private deployment: Systems that run locally or on secure dedicated servers, ensuring full ownership of data and behavior.

The Persona Project is being developed in parallel with our core offering of private, fixed-cost AI infrastructure for businesses and independent teams. While most of Persona's technical details remain confidential, we can share that our approach is built on local-first principles, modular architectures, and user-controlled personalization layers.

We are not attempting to build “general AI” in the traditional sense. Instead, we are focused on something more practical and immediate, something possible with existing technology. We are focused on creating intelligent systems that remember, adapt, and speak as if they truly know you.

This is an ambitious project, and it won’t happen overnight. But step by step, the future of personal AI is coming into view — and American AGI Systems intends to help shape it.
